Welcome to BIBBY Holdings

Cy Green“Bibby Holdings has a very clear mission: to build future divisions for Bibby Line Group. Created in January 2008 with this simple remit, “Holdings” currently has a portfolio as reflected below – this is intentionally diverse. Three of these businesses have been acquired since December 2006 and we remain active in the M&A arena.

Our house style is to encourage entrepreneurship within a best practice corporate governance framework. As such executive management teams retain a high degree of autonomy with Bibby Holdings, or the wider Group, providing non-executives to each subsidiary’s board. In all cases, we require the senior management in our acquisitions to remain ‘in charge’ for the medium term and our creative deal structures reflect this.

What really matters is that we find companies to acquire and invest in that are truly scaleable and that have cultures that are compatible with our own – read more.

We are open-minded about future sectors to invest in (we treat synergy benefits as icing on the cake rather than essential). Our current focus is the broad sustainability sector.”

Mergers & Acquisitions

Andrew Goody“Bibby Holdings is looking to acquire entrepreneurial businesses with strong management teams and outstanding long term growth potential. Our focused investment criteria enable us to quickly assess whether a business is of interest to us and the wide experience of our Corporate Development team allows us to formulate attractive deal structures and move rapidly to deal completion.

We carefully project manage the due diligence process and our external due diligence providers to ensure minimum disruption to the target business. Any business improvement ideas identified by the due diligence process are referred to management for them to assess and to implement if they consider this appropriate.

The experience and expertise of the entire Bibby Line Group is available for acquired businesses to access where they believe this would add value.”
